Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide responsive and customized support to young people in our residential settings
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure a smooth handover and provide a high-quality service
  • Observe and document any changes in behavior, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people
  • Maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies
  • Carry out health and safety actions, including cleaning tasks, and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Liaise with external agencies, such as the police and Emergency Duty Team
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people
  • Flexibility in availability, including weekend work
  • Hold a relevant qualification, such as Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent
  • Be willing to travel and hold a full driving license
  • Excellent computer skills
