Job Title: Financial Director for a Dynamic Electrical Manufacturing Firm

We are seeking an experienced Financial Director to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in the Newbury area.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting function for a growing and successful electrical products manufacturer.
  • Key responsibilities include producing monthly management accounts, managing prepayments and accruals, cash flow forecasting, and management of payroll and pension schemes.
  • You will also oversee all tax and regulatory/compliance issues, maintain business insurance, and manage the annual audit process.
  • In addition, you will provide working support to a Finance Assistant and take a proactive approach to process improvement and ISO standards compliance.

About You:

  • To be successful in this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with a qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • A strong understanding of commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders is essential.
  • As a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, you should be able to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Your analytical skills and problem-solving abilities should enable you to adapt to new systems and improve existing processes.
  • Experience with Sage accounting software is desirable, but not essential.
  • This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
