Job Title: Electrical Package Lead - Site-Based MEP Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Lead to join our team at ICDS. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading electrical activities on site, ensuring they are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Electrical Activities: Oversee the installation of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and program requirements.
  • Health and Safety: Foster a culture of safety on site, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Electrical Systems Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of project electrical systems and equipment, tracking installation to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Commissioning Requirements: Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in the development of commissioning implementation plans.
  • Quality Inspections: Conduct site quality inspections of electrical and CSA works to ensure installation meets relevant requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure stakeholders receive necessary information to progress systems installation, allowing for works to proceed in line with the master construction program.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractors and vendors to ensure they are adequately resourced to complete works successfully.
  • Schedule Review: Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities for improvement and sequencing to focus on work faces in terms of electrical and CSA scope.
  • Temporary Power: Review the site construction power system to ensure it meets ongoing and commissioning requirements.
  • Meetings and Communication: Chair and input into onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders as required.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Manage sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • System Electrical Stakeholders: Review and ensure system electrical stakeholders produce necessary documents, including construction and commissioning programs, risk assessments, and method statements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years plus experience in a site-based MEP role, with experience working on hyperscale data centres.
  • Education: 3rd Level Building Services / Electrical Engineering Degree and/or trade background.
  • Skills: Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
