Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our school in South Croydon, United Kingdom.

About the Role

This position involves managing classrooms during teacher absences and ensuring that students remain engaged in their work.

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to the teaching staff on the progress of students.
  • Support students with their learning when necessary.
  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative duties as required.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and classroom management skills, be able to adapt to different classroom environments, and have patience and a positive attitude toward supporting students.

  • Previous experience in a school environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Able to work on short notice when required.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
