We are seeking a Paleoclimatology Expert to join our team at the University of Leicester. This role is part of a Leverhulme Trust-funded project that aims to understand Earth's climate in the Ediacaran and Cambrian periods.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience working with palaeoclimate proxy data or global-scale numerical climate models. They will be responsible for collecting, developing, and analysing geological and palaeontological datasets to ground-truth simulations and identify potential feedbacks between the environment and macro-evolution.
This position offers opportunities for overseas fieldwork and presenting research at international conferences. The candidate will be part of a collaborative research team spanning universities in Leicester, Cambridge, and Burgundy.
