We are seeking a skilled Teaching and Learning Associate to join our team at an inspirational SEN School in Blyth. As a key member of the support staff, you will work closely with Class Teachers and colleagues to provide high-quality support to pupils with varying Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behavior.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, developing an understanding of their different needs and learning styles. You will work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other colleagues to establish effective strategies for pupil support.

Key Duties
  • Support pupils with varied SEN and challenging behavior on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other colleagues to plan and deliver lessons
Requirements
  • A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
  • Experience of working with children in schools in the UK
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
