Job Title: Community Substance Support Worker

As a Community Substance Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the Better Lives team, working within the Community Substance Misuse multi-disciplinary team in Islington. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and guidance to service users with complex substance misuse needs, helping them navigate the recovery process.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance misuse. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead or designated supervisor/manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring service users receive the support they need to achieve recovery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based care interventions, including generic and specific tools.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for service users and their families.
Requirements
  • NVQ L3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 2 Safeguarding certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance misuse issues.
  • Recovery-oriented role or setting experience.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
