Support Assistant for Special Needs Students

We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to join our team at an SEN school, providing vital support to students with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will be a caring and compassionate individual passionate about promoting the well-being of children in a nurturing school environment.
The school caters for young people who need extra support in their learning and development due to their additional needs, which may include autism, mild learning difficulties, or social, emotional, mental health difficulties.
As a Teaching Assistant in a specialist provision, you will be adaptable, reliable, resilient, and have knowledge and understanding of how to provide high quality care following care plans.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Build positive relationships with students and encourage pupil engagement.
- Support pupils with personal care and daily living tasks.
- Collaborate with the general class teacher to plan and deliver learning activities.
- Promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development through the curriculum.
Key Information:
- Flexible, part-time, and full-time positions available.
- No specific qualifications necessary; care/support/health background desirable.
- Options for temp to perm available.
- £12.90+ per hour depending on additional duties and experience.
This role requires an enhanced Child only Disclosure and Barring Service Check on the update service.
