About the Role

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to support our teaching staff during short-term absences. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students complete set tasks and activities.
  • Deliver information provided by the teacher or Head of Department, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use ICT to support learning, with the ability to undertake training if necessary.
  • Apply effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.

Requirements

  • High standard of education, with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Recent experience working in a school, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to staff, students, and parents.
