Quality Assurance Specialist

Michael Page are currently searching for a Quality Engineer to assist with the Production, Development and Maintenance of Company procedures and systems in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
The business are injection moulding specialists, supplying into varying industries offering a range from Class A painting to simple mouldings. Our client is based in Winsford and supplies injection moulded components into highly regulated areas such as Automotive, Rail and Industrial Markets.
As the Quality Assurance Specialist you will be responsible for:
- To assist in the production, maintenance and development of Company Quality Procedures and Systems in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Undertake compliance audits in accordance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- To carry out new product introduction work including initial sample report documentation, Production Part Approval Process documentation and all other areas of the APQP process.
- To be responsible for developing and maintaining Control Plans, calibration & tool measurement compliance, along with developing & maintaining process FMEA's.
- Final inspection audits.
- Investigate issues and prepare Corrective Action reports - PPS, 8D.
- Continuous Improvement Problem Solving Activities.
- To be responsible for compiling Reject, Returns and Scrap reports.
- Liaise/visit suppliers and customers where necessary on matters relating to quality.
- Assist with HSE issues - knowledge of 45001/14001 would be an advantage.
Job Requirements
As the successful candidate you will have:
- A Qualification in a relevant Engineering field.
- Experience of working in compliance to a minimum of ISO 9001 and it is advantageous to have worked to IATF 16949.
- An excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
- Working knowledge ISO 14001/45001 would be advantageous.
- A background of working within fast paced or heavy engineering environments.
Compensation Package
The salary for this role is £42,000 - £47,000 per annum, along with a competitive benefits package, company pension and 25 days holiday + bank holiday.
