About the Role:

Sellick Partnership is excited to be recruiting exclusively for Barnsley Council's legal services team and an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Principal Childcare Solicitor to join the team on a permanent basis.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to step up into a Principal role and will provide you with the opportunity to take the lead on complex care matters, alongside the training and development of a busy and growing Childcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly line managing 2 Senior Lawyers who are responsible for the management of a team of 6 Lawyers, 2 Paralegals, and 2 Legal Assistants.
  • Be a part of the Senior Management Team for the Legal Services.
  • Leading on improvement of the team with policies and procedures, looking at standard processes and reporting against performance indicators.

Requirements:

For this role, you must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Barrister. We are keen to hear from candidates that have a good understanding of childcare law but previous management experience isn't essential.
