Job Title: Kitchen Steward

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Steward to join our team at the House of Commons. As a key member of our Catering Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Assistant Chief Stewards/Stewarding Supervisor in all stewarding related matters in the Back of House areas concerning food and beverage equipment.
  • Ensure that all Departmental Food, Health and Safety Policies are always met.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills with the ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve our goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Foundation Food Safety (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Manual Handling & Safety in the Workplace and Foundation Health & Safety qualifications.
  • Relevant kitchen experience working a similar position with a good understanding of Food hygiene and Health and Safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to undertake regular manual handling tasks as part of the daily work routine.
