Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Operations Specialist to join our Ground Operations team at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the department and various airport-based Ground Operations Teams across our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contact for all aircraft weight and balance matters, including the timely processing of updated weight information within our systems, maintenance of the AHM565, reporting, promotion of best practices, and assistance with system developments.
  • Be instrumental in the production and maintenance of Ground Operations Instructions and associated company manuals, including the Ground Handling Manual and Ground Operations Procedures Manual, ensuring all stations are kept updated on Jet2.com's policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance and guidance on the carriage of dangerous goods items, ensuring such items are carried safely and in accordance with industry requirements, as well as assisting with investigations and other related matters.
  • Control and management of the departmental EGOS system, ensuring the provision of accounts, the issuance of documentation, and overall maintenance of the system.
  • Liaise closely with colleagues and service partners across the business, both in the UK and Overseas, and ensure we are compliant with the highest levels of safety and consistency across all areas of the operation.
  • Play a key support role to company Charter Programme and any relevant lease aircraft operations from a Ground Operations perspective.

The successful candidate will already be demonstrating role model behaviours and will have extensive previous experience within an airside or customer-facing Ground Operations role. You will be a subject matter expert on procedures relating to dangerous goods with first-hand experience of aircraft weight and balance. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, have excellent planning and organisational skills, as well as a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Knowledge of a European language is desirable, Spanish would be an advantage. Strong IT skills are required, including being proficient with Microsoft Excel to an advanced level.
