Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description:Main Responsibilities:
  1. To conduct highly specialist psychological assessments for individuals referred to our service, including evaluating eligibility for learning disability services. This will involve utilizing complex data from various sources, including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and structured observations.
  2. To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and management of clients' mental health or behavioural problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework and employing evidence-based methods across multiple care settings.
  3. To assess and decide on treatment options, considering both theoretical and therapeutic models, as well as complex historical and developmental factors that have shaped the individual, family, or group.
  4. To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
Person Specification:Essential Qualifications:
  • Doctoral-level training in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, including specific models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, and lifespan developmental psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, or other applied psychology fields.
  • Pre or post-qualification training in systemic psychotherapy or Positive Behaviour Support.
