Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Finance Directorate as a Finance Business Partner.

The successful candidate will be integral in making a meaningful difference for our local population, supporting the Health Board. The role will require the translation and triangulation of operational strategies into financial cost and benefits, with an overall aim of ensuring service resilience, sustainability, and value for money.

Main Duties
  • Provide strong financial leadership to the Directorates you support, ensuring their performance delivery, providing appropriate governance and sound professional advice and support.
  • Ensure that a robust financial management and planning process is in place, including supporting the Directorates Senior Finance Business Partner in providing sustainable financial planning.
  • Develop and support the creation of business cases to deliver change in the Health Board, including activity performance analysis and system-wide analysis.
  • Provide financial updates at various forums on spend and projected costs to assist with decision making.
Key Requirements
  • CCAB Qualified Accountant with professional accountancy qualification, further specialist knowledge training, and experience.
  • Membership of a professional Chartered Accounting institution.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Keeps self-informed through local and national networks.
Desirable Criteria
  • Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
