About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Electrical Specialist to join our team at Ex Forces Courses. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our datacenter infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on datacenter electrical systems, including CRAC units, chilled water systems, and UPS frames.
  • Datacenter Operations: Provide data reporting to our facilities manager and ensure that all datacenter operations are running efficiently.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct proactive risk assessments and report any potential threats to service delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facilities team to enhance organization, productivity, and quality.
  • Access Control and Security: Work with our security team to maintain and administer access control requests.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to promote and deliver quality datacenter services.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in the on-call rota to provide support outside of normal working hours.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrable detailed knowledge of CRAC units, chilled water systems, and chillers.
  • Experience: Experience of UPS frames and generator systems, as well as PPM and BMS systems.
  • Soft Skills: A motivated team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a customer-facing role.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours and a full UK driving license.
