About the Role

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital part in delivering high standards of personal care to our residents. Your focus will be on ensuring the continuity of services and contributing fully to the care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with all aspects of personal hygiene care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
• Recognise and understand clinical risk areas, such as weight loss, pressure sores, and infections, and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.
• Practice safe systems of work across a range of tasks.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Experience is not required, as we offer a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence in your role.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
