We are seeking a Behaviour Management Professional to work in secondary schools based in the Portsmouth area.

The role requires the ability to support the senior leadership team to manage student behaviour throughout the school day.

This is an opportunity to work in an 'on call' capacity, ensuring that students are in their lessons, and acting as support for the classroom teacher should they need it and removing students from lessons into the internal isolation unit.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting young people aged 11-16
  • Managing challenging behaviours and remaining calm in those situations
  • Working in an 'on call'/internal isolation unit
  • Engaging with students and building a rapport
  • Implementing and monitoring behaviour management strategies
  • Contributing to school-wide knowledge and skills in behaviour management
  • Using high levels of judgment, communication, and emotional intelligence skills.

This role comes with an estimated salary of £23,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with KS3 and KS4 students and be able to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
