Clinical Lead Hepatologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Hepatologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our hepatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with liver and biliary diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs for medical staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in research and quality improvement activities to advance the field of hepatology and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
We are looking for a Consultant Hepatologist who possesses:
- Full accreditation for higher specialist training or eligibility within 6 months.
- Ability to apply sound clinical judgment to complex problems.
- Post-CCT fellowship in hepatology (desirable).
- Understanding and interest in research.
- Evidence of recent research and development activity (desirable).
