Job Summary

As a GIS Systems Developer at Network Rail, you will be responsible for providing design, development, implementation, and support for our existing Geospatial systems. This permanent, full-time opportunity is based in The Quadrant:MK, with flexible working patterns considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and support Geospatial systems to deliver operational requirements.
  • Support data management and develop approaches to providing mining hazard information to internal and external partners.
  • Utilize various Geospatial systems and software to determine and manage legacy mining risks.
  • Manage records associated with geospatial mining data and support the Mining Team in their operational processes.
RequirementsEssential Criteria
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Geographical Information Systems, Geospatial Asset Management, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in Esri ArcGIS Platforms engineering areas.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant Network Rail policies and standards.
  • An understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
Desirable
  • Equivalent qualification in Geographical Information Systems, Geospatial Asset Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in using ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, FME, Python, or other coding languages.
  • Knowledge of asset and information digital management of records.
  • A working knowledge of mining, geology, or geotechnical engineering.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
