PepsiCo is seeking a General Operator to join our team at the Walkers site in Skelmersdale. As a General Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting machinery, ensuring health and safety compliance, and identifying issues with equipment. You will also be responsible for understanding and interpreting numerical data, communicating machine performance, and covering for colleagues' absences. In addition, you will maintain high safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards and proactively escalate issues outside of your remit. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a positive self-starter attitude, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn how to operate equipment in an autonomous role. Basic numerical, reading, analytical, and computer skills are required, as well as the ability to work under pressure and solve basic problems. Experience within a manufacturing environment and a technical understanding of machinery are preferred but not essential. As a General Operator, you will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to the development of our people. You will receive comprehensive training for the General Operator role and will be supported during your probationary period to achieve the required standard.
