Job Title: Teacher of English

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher of English to join our successful and thriving department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading KS5 A-level Film Course and/or KS Leadership, to be negotiated.

About the Role

The Teacher of English will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students in KS3, KS4, and KS5. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of teaching and leading in a secondary school setting and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving the highest standards possible for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English Language and Literature to students in KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Lead KS5 A-level Film Course and/or KS Leadership, to be negotiated
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning
  • Contribute to the development of the English department, including curriculum design and implementation
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

A strong track record of teaching and leading in a secondary school settingA degree in English Language and Literature or a related subjectQTS or equivalent teaching qualificationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to achieving the highest standards possible for all pupilsWhat We Offer
