Job Summary:

Engage Recruit is seeking an experienced Automation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers and technicians in the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of automated systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a small team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient, reliable, and aligned automation processes.
  • Design, implement, and refine automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Manage automation projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop innovative solutions.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in automation.
  • Ensure all automation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in automation within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a team.
  • Hands-on experience with automation technologies including PLCs, robotics, and control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Project management experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £55,000 - £60,000 (negotiable DOE) and an excellent benefits package.
