Year 1 Teacher Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils, following a pre-planned lesson structure provided by the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils, promoting academic growth and development.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom environment, ensuring the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the school to support student learning and development.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and monitor their academic growth.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and contribute to maintaining a positive and safe educational atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Have recent experience as a Year 1 Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
