Employment Specialists Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team in Cambridgeshire. As a key member of our Commercial Insurance team, you will be responsible for underwriting Commercial products on a new business basis, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and ensuring panel/regional growth.
Main Responsibilities:- Managing new business pipelines, visiting brokers regularly, and underwriting your own caseload
- Leveraging your market expertise to adopt a positive and comprehensive underwriting approach
- Contributing to the identification and acquisition of new business, driving growth in GWP across the Commercial book
- Key contact for handling referrals, strategy, and risk appetite
- Strong Commercial underwriting experience
- Excellent relationship building and management skills to enable you to work closely with broker partners
- The desire to be successful in a new business environment
- Confident communicator, able to lead and influence discussions and make decisions with integrity
