Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Northern Diver (International) Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing a small team of employees in the accounts department, ensuring efficient cashbook and bank reconciliation processes, and preparing monthly budget and management accounts.

Responsibilities

  1. Cash Management: Supervise and manage a small team of employees in the accounts department, ensuring efficient cashbook and bank reconciliation processes.
  2. Financial Planning: Prepare monthly budget and management accounts, as well as forward forecast and cashflow.
  3. Analysis: Conduct income and expense analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  4. Support: Provide support to the finance team with other tasks as required.
  5. Stocktakes: Coordinate and manage periodic stocktakes along with the Warehouse Manager.
  6. Improvement: Review and implement system and procedure improvements, as well as work with other departments to identify and implement productivity improvements.
  7. Digitisation: Implement digitisation initiatives to remove paper transactions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft software is essential for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in working in a financial team is highly desirable.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and organisational skills are required to perform this role effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is crucial for accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Player: The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment is essential.
  • Licence: A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified is highly desirable.

Work Arrangements

  • Salary: The salary for this role is £35,000.00 per year.
  • Benefits: Company pension and on-site parking are provided.
  • Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position with a Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Location: This role is based in person.
