Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Lu4, a leading manufacturer in the UK. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing production and site service assets, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to production teams across various operations, ensuring seamless production processes.
- Maintain and repair production and site service assets, including equipment and machinery, to prevent downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs, identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.
- Conduct fault diagnosis on automated systems, using technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Record maintenance and quality data accurately, providing valuable insights for process improvements.
- Collaborate with shift managers, process engineers, quality teams, and production operators to drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
- Participate in planned maintenance schedules and contribute to efficiency improvements, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Perform line changeover activities and support SMED programs, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Mentor engineering apprentices and support new product and capital projects, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive growth and innovation.
- Operate production assets when needed to cover for production personnel, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
- Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical skills, with a recognized electrical qualification.
- Experience in the food FMCG or equivalent process industry, with a strong understanding of lean methods and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, with strong IT skills and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering top-quality products and services.
