Pharmacist Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our clinical oncology pharmacy team as a specialist pharmacist covering day case oncology and haematology.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced and supportive team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our pharmacy services.

The role will involve participating in the rota covering the aseptic pharmacist and engaging with stakeholders in the Board and the South East of Scotland Cancer Network (SCAN).

The hospital pharmacy is based in Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, a district general hospital in Dumfries, Scotland. The pharmacy benefits from electronic prescribing, robotics, and a new aseptic unit, providing hospital services across the wider Dumfries and Galloway Health board area.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care as a specialist pharmacist in day case oncology and haematology
  • Participate in the rota covering the aseptic pharmacist
  • Engage with stakeholders in the Board and the South East of Scotland Cancer Network (SCAN)
  • Contribute to the development of our pharmacy services

Requirements:

  • Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience in clinical oncology pharmacy or a related field
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and supportive environment
