About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and qualified Teaching Assistants to work at our partnership schools in Cambridgeshire. This exciting opportunity offers flexibility, encompassing both day-to-day and long-term positions and potential temporary to permanent roles within primary schools.

We have full-time and part-time positions available now.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the teacher in providing a full range of stimulating activities for children in a class and/or group.
  • Prepare classrooms for lessons, including setting out and tidying away equipment and materials required in the programme at the beginning and end of each day, where applicable.
  • Supervise at break and lunch times under a designated role to ensure a happy playtime.
  • Support children in learning through play by observing, interacting and playing alongside them.
  • Spent certain amounts of time in or out of the classroom with specified groups to provide support in the development of speaking and listening, reading, writing and Maths.
  • Assist in promoting the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of all the children.
  • Attend staff meetings and year group meetings where appropriate, to share information about children's progress and the planning of activities.
  • Attend relevant courses and in-service for career enhancement.
Requirements

To be considered for the role of Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Adaptability to work in day-to-day supply or commit to long-term positions.
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
  • Previous experience within a Primary School or relevant Teaching Assistant course.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Pay – £83 - £100 per day
