Prototyper Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Prototyper to join our team at People Solutions Group Limited in Leicester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and testing prototypes of new products, ensuring they meet design specifications and are ready for mass production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and construct prototypes based on design specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine designs and resolve any technical issues
  • Utilize a variety of tools, materials, and manufacturing processes to create functional prototypes
  • Perform tests and evaluations on prototypes to ensure they meet quality, durability, and performance standards
  • Document and report on the prototype development process, including any modifications and recommendations
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production
Requirements:
  • Experience of acrylic fabrication and a good understanding of production build techniques
  • Experience of operating circular saws, CNC's, V Groovers and Lasers
  • Understanding and experience of AutoCAD drawings
  • Good attention to detail and a good understanding of quality requirements
  • Strong communication skills with a positive working attitude
