An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Operations Department for a skilled Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to prepare short to long-term production plans to ensure customer demand, service levels, manufacturing efficiencies, and inventory objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement production plans to meet customer demand and service levels
  • Review and agree/accept new sales orders/project requirements based on material, plant, and resource availability
  • Manage finished goods inventory in line with stocking policies, identifying any sales that are at risk of being delivered late
  • Highlight any risk to the production plan/customer orders/project requirements associated with material, resource, or plant shortfall
  • Input and maintain planning information within the company's ERP System
  • Highlight demand and capacity imbalances which are not resolvable within the standard capacity offered and ensure that the Planning Manager and Production Manager are aware
  • Continually seek out opportunities for improvement within operations to deliver improved business results and elimination of financial waste within the business

Requirements:

  • 3 years+ experience in a production or material planning environment
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Epicor software knowledge
  • Personal commitment to Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards
  • The ability to build and develop effective relationships and use these to improve performance
  • Knowledge of the principles of company policy and operating procedures in order to ensure site and company compliance
