We are working with an established engineering manufacturer to help recruit for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker. The position has been created due to growth and offers the chance to be part of a smaller, friendly working team.

About the Job
  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding environments is essential.
  • A strong understanding of sheet metal properties, fabrication techniques, and machining operations is required.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately is necessary for this position.
Working Conditions

The job will involve set up and operation of fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, and sheet rollers. Interpretation and work from technical drawings and CAD files to produce sheet metal components, perform welding and fabrication tasks on a variety of metals ensuring adherence to quality standards. Repair and fabricate metal parts using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Laser welding.

Compensation and Advancement

The salary for this role is estimated at around £38,000 depending on experience. The company has an internal grading system to show how you can progress. The job also offers a fixed day shift with scope to progress in a small, friendly team culture.
