The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to our Partners and Legal Advisors in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team. As a Junior Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Scanning correspondence and documents
  • Typing correspondence and formatting documents
  • File management (e-filing and hard copy filing)
  • Conflict checks
  • Opening new clients and matters and creating letters of engagement
  • Supporting with events – managing room bookings and catering requests
  • Diary management
  • Answering the telephone
  • Audio typing (not essential)
  • Financial hygiene
  • Raising invoices
  • Writing off and/or transferring time
  • Closing files
  • Assisting with various other tasks, as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 12 months' legal administrative/secretarial experience, ideally within a national law firm or a large corporate organisation.
  • Ability to maintain high standards while carrying out day-to-day tasks
  • Great organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail and comfortable with numbers
  • Good keyboard skills and knowledge of various applications, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
