Job Title: Passivhaus Consultant

Morgan Hunt Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled Passivhaus Consultant to join their team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of building energy performance and experience in delivering new-build and/or retrofit residential projects to a certified Passivhaus / EnerPHit standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) calculations to assess compliance and provide guidance on thermal bridging minimization.
  • Collaborate with project design teams to ensure that developments achieve Passivhaus Certification in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Provide expertise on fabric design, ventilation, airtightness, overheating, heating and hot water solutions, and renewable technology.
  • Stay up-to-date with Climate Change / Net Zero guidance by organizations such as LETI and UKGBC and apply the guidance to building performance.
Requirements:
  • Certifier European Passivhaus Designer / Consultant
  • Experience of delivering new-build and/or retrofit residential projects to a certified Passivhaus / EnerPHit standard
  • Experience of using PHPP and Design PH
  • Experience of analysing and understanding the energy performance of buildings
  • Experience of operating within the construction sector
  • Good understanding of the Passivhaus standard
  • Good understanding of detailed construction drawings
  • Good understanding of mechanical & electrical building services design
  • Good understanding of low and zero carbon generating technologies
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential as is your eligibility to work in the UK
