Job Description

Job Title: Transport Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at Stobart. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consignments Management: Create and check all daily customer consignments on our in-house AS400 system (GTS), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile work on ESL's GTS system against schedules provided by customers, to ensure accurate charging and invoicing at week and period end.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with Transport Managers, Planning teams, and other on-site team members to ensure data accuracy and timely communication.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Admin Team Leader and Admin team, including data entry, report generation, and other tasks as required.
  • Isotrak Compliance: Manage Isotrak compliance to ensure all loads from the depot are tracking, and liaise with the Planning team to resolve any errors.
  • Yard Check: Conduct a daily yard check to ensure compliance with safe and legal checks, and raise any defects to the relevant personnel.

Requirements:

  • Administrative Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a logistics or transportation environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other software applications, as well as experience with AS400 systems.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
