Job Summary

The OCS Group is seeking a skilled Cleaning Operative to support the running of our cleaning team operation, waste management, and other related tasks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining waste management on site, collecting and disposing of waste from our retailers, food and beverage outlets, and mall bins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collection and disposal of waste from various sources
  • Operation and maintenance of waste compactors and segregation systems
  • Emptying and cleaning of bins and other waste receptacles
  • Restocking of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Use of PDA system to assist with scheduled cleaning tasks and incident control
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and thorough manner, adhering to Health and Safety legislation, OCS policies, and procedures
  • Maintaining confidentiality of client and staff information
  • Reporting any equipment or facility issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintaining good relationships with stores and other stakeholders
  • Staying up-to-date with required cleaning standards and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, brand partners, and shoppers
  • Participating in further training and development as required
  • Assisting with other cleaning and site duties as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in waste management and building partnerships with clients
  • Knowledge of COSHH and other relevant regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced cleaning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate high-quality service delivery and its impact
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the role
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
