Job Title: Chef

Join Compass Group UK & Ireland, a leading food service company, and take your culinary career to the next level. We are currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

About the Role:

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that meets our clients' and customers' expectations
  • Overseeing and implementing menu changes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our food services and implementing changes
  • Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
  • Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
  • Representing Compass Group UK & Ireland and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked and maintaining hygiene standards
Requirements:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef who:

  • Has a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Has experience supervising a team and managing kitchen operations
  • Has experience in a similar Chef role and holds a Food Hygiene certificate
  • Has a flexible approach to working and is able to adapt to changing circumstances
