Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Building Information Modelling Specialist to join our team at Leeds College Of Building.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating building information modelling projects, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement building information modelling strategies to improve project efficiency and accuracy
  • Manage and maintain building information models, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that building information models are aligned with project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures for building information modelling
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on building information modelling best practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4 or more GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and a minimum of 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent
  • Relevant qualifications in construction and the built environment, such as a BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma or an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in building information modelling software
  • Good understanding of architecture and engineering processes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary and Benefits

Newly trained BIM managers can earn £30,000 - £35,000, while trained BIM managers with some experience can earn £35,000 - £55,000. Senior BIM managers can earn £55,000 - £90,000, depending on location, level of responsibility, and chartered status.
