Job Title: Manufacturing Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Planner to join our Logistics and Planning team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and adjusting production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and adjust production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, and machinery to meet production targets, minimizing downtime.
  • Prioritize production orders based on lead times, customer needs, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor raw materials and finished goods to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Analyse production bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize processes.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve production and supply chain issues.
  • Track production KPIs (OEE, utilization, adherence, and capacity plans) and provide insights to management.
  • Proactively identify and implement efficiency and cost-reduction opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record as a Production Planner or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven problem-solving experience in production or operational environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
