Key Responsibilities- To ensure the smooth operation of complex machinery through effective preventative maintenance and timely repair services.
- To work closely with management in developing a comprehensive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
- To assist in planning capital projects for new equipment installations and major repairs.
- To collaborate with the Engineering Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement efficient solutions.
- To lead initiatives that enhance machinery reliability, reduce production downtime, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- To maintain accurate records of fault issues, parts usage, and actions taken within the engineering department database.
- To document all breakdowns, including faults, parts used, actions, and times.
- An electrical bias with multi-skilled maintenance expertise.
- Prioritization of workload to ensure minimum production downtime.
- Up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals to aid in repair and service.
- Demonstrated ability to apply root cause analysis/problem-solving processes.
- Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment, with exposure to CNC machinery being advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and plan own workload effectively.
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £38,500 per annum, along with a range of benefits designed to support their career growth and well-being.
