Inventory Management Coordinator

About the Company: Andy File Associates is a dynamic recruitment agency working on behalf of our client, a thriving business in Doncaster. Our client has experienced rapid growth, expanding to additional premises and taking on new staff members across various departments.
The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Inventory Management Coordinator to join their expanding Stores Team. This is not a hand-held terminal system, so you will have plenty to learn in a busy environment with opportunities for career progression. The role involves working on a rota system of 8 hours per day, between 6:30am and 5pm.
Forklift License Advantage: While not essential, having a forklift license would be advantageous in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer Stock Control, including stock movements in or out, reporting any shortfalls or faults within the same day; regularly check stock levels, perform full stock taking procedures, possess product knowledge, and administer and check the stock control system using provided software while liaising with all departments and systems regarding this process.
- Maintain acceptable stock levels agreed upon with the Finance department and utilize the requisition procedure.
- Make available stock related to field work. Return field stock to suppliers as required.
- Liaise with the Project Purchaser, Finance, Planning, and Workshop to prepare stock requirements.
- Provide all equipment and consumables to workshop engineers for the next day's work, ensuring they do not await supplies during their working day.
- Liaise with the Workshop and possess knowledge of their processes, which include stock duties, purchase duties, and health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Organize subcontract work needed for products, arrange dispatch, accept returns, and ensure relevant quality checks are observed.
- Process any returns or faulty goods, liaise with suppliers, and our accounts department to obtain a replacement or credit.
- Pack goods to be sent out safely and securely, including correct paperwork and labeling.
- Maintain stock in a safe and correct manner, adhere to designated stock areas, observe COSHH safety data for storage and use, and keep the area clean and tidy at all times.
- Observe recycling and waste disposal policies of the Company.
- Perform month-end processes for stock valuation.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
