Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Advisor to join our team at Boots Opticians. As a Pharmacy Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health advice to patients through focused conversations, ensuring they leave the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Deliver the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Ensure efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be working towards and have completed the first year of an Mpharm course at university. You will also need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. We offer support for development and training to help you achieve your goals.
