The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Support Engineer to join our team within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business. The CS3 line of business operates across the UK, providing innovative and invaluable support solutions to our customers.

This role is based at RAF Coningsby within the Components Maintenance Facility (CMF) working alongside the BAE Systems teams. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-paced pressurised environment under minimal supervision in a challenging technical domain to support the UK's fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out standard serviceability testing, fault finding, and repair on RADAR, Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS), and Avionics equipment.
  2. Work with the management of the UK aspect of the spares supply system and consumables, highlighting any deficiencies to CMF Manager, Bay Lead, and Logistics team.
  3. Meet all contractual and local requirements associated with Governance, SHE, Training, and general good engineering practices.
  4. Identify and report risks and opportunities for the business, its operations, and support to subsequent activities.
  5. Provide support drafting and compliance of Maintenance Approved Organisation scheme (MAOS) Approved documentation.
  6. Adhere to documented methods of work as defined by the Leonardo Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Contract and Coningsby CMF Manager.

Requirements:

  1. Experience with Technical Diagnostic Test Equipment, including MS Software Packages.
  2. Previous experience of working within an Avionics second-line Maintenance Facility and/or working on Typhoon aircraft RADAR and DASS systems.
  3. ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) in an electrical, digital electronics, Avionics discipline or equivalent/relevant experience.
