About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a mechanical bias to ensure that all fixed plant, mobile equipment, and office equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

  • Repairing or replacing plant equipment as required/ carrying out upgrades.
  • Undertaking trials and operating campaigns in the IBL Pilot Plant.
  • Liaising with engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Booking in MOTs and Service for company vehicles.
  • Ensuring load bearing and lifting equipment is booked in for servicing/ maintenance.
  • Observing Safe Systems of Work i.e. lock-out/ tag-out, work permits, pre-start checklists and risk assessments.
  • Creating and collecting data.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in Engineering.
  • Have a sound understanding of predominantly mechanical and some electrical maintenance including fixed processing plant - including fans, filters, mills, conveyors, packaging, etc.
  • Able to fault find and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Have good communication skills and are a team player.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Legally able to drive in the UK.
