Job Title: Accident and Emergency Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in our busy Accident and Emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients presenting with a range of acute medical conditions, including Covid and influenza.
  • Work closely with our medical teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Attend ward meetings and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
Person Specification:
  • NMC Registration
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • ILS
  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing
  • ALS
  • Working towards degree
  • Preparation for Mentorship or working towards a degree
Requirements:
  • Previous experience at Band 5 level minimum of 24 months.
  • Teaching/supervision experience
  • Research awareness
  • Awareness of the Trust's financial and governance goals
  • Previous experience in an Acute care setting
Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to act up for Ward Manager
  • IV Drug Administration
  • Venepuncture
