Job Title: Fire Safety Compliance Officer

EDSB Ltd is seeking a skilled Fire Safety Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our fire safety compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring fire doors across the UK meet current standards.

Our company, EDSB Ltd, provides national fire & security, electrical, mechanical, and building services. From design and specification through to installation and maintenance, our focus is on delivering compliance and exceptional service.

About the Role:
  • Travelling regionally to various sites to inspect fire doors
  • Carrying out inspections in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner
  • Building professional relationships with clients
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of works completed
  • Following process to ensure each inspection is completed correctly
  • Keeping company vehicles clean, tidy, and presentable
  • Handling tools of various types and ensuring safe setup
  • Adhering to safety guidelines while on the job site
  • Ensuring all tools and machinery are kept clean and in good repair
  • Ensuring all specifications are met
Requirements:
  • Good practical, manual dexterity, and coordination skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Experience in carrying out fire door inspections is essential
  • Recognised fire door inspection qualifications (FDIS, BRE etc) are mandatory
  • High attention to detail
  • Full, clean, UK driving license
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong work ethic
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent timekeeping and time management skills
  • Ability to cope with a high volume of work
  • Willingness to work away from home
  • Willingness to go the extra mile
  • Self-motivated and a team player, demonstrating professionalism, positivity, and proactiveness
  • BPSS security clearance will be a mandatory requirement for successful candidates

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including BS7858 Employment Screening and Enhanced DBS check.
