Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Quality Technician to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Quality Management system and assisting with adherence to IATF16949/ISO9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management system and assist with adherence to IATF16949/ISO9001 standards.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to prevent non-conformity and provide feedback.
  • Collect data to define issues and drive improvements.
  • Support quality-related issues with internal, supplier, and customer concerns.
  • Identify and react to non-conformances and engage the correct escalation process.
  • Support scrap and RFT initiatives and identify ways to drive improvements and reduce costs.
  • Conduct first off/last off sample approvals and have a working knowledge of SPC and MSA principles.
  • Support root cause and corrective actions for product quality issues using proven methodology.
  • Support the internal audit program with layered process audits, product, and process audits.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Working knowledge of welding, metal pressings, and laser cut parts.
  • Ability to use measurement equipment.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings and Control Plans.
  • CMM application and CMM programming knowledge advantageous.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, gauging, and close tolerance measurement.
  • Support a robust Quarantine process and system.
  • Support Quality with all administrative and daily tasks required of the department.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing organization.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving ability using known methodology.
  • Knowledge of core tools and GD&T principles is preferred.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of measurement methods and techniques using equipment.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
