Job Title: Highly Specialised Paediatric Dietitian - Neuromuscular Dietitian (Research and Clinical)

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join our neurosciences team. As a highly specialised Paediatric Dietitian, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a high-quality clinical service to patients with neuromuscular conditions across the paediatric age range.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide a research and quality clinical service to in and outpatients with neuromuscular conditions.
  • Develop and implement dietetic plans to support patients with neuromuscular conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of dietetic practice and participate in research and audit activities.
  • Provide weekend cover of the service as required.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered as a Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Extensive experience in general paediatric knowledge.
  • Significant experience working in clinical paediatrics at band 6/7 level, including neurology.
  • Ability to provide weekend cover of the service.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of dietetic practice.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Additional masters level training in an area related to dietetics or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of neuromuscular conditions, such as spinal muscular dystrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
  • Experience in research, audit, or teaching.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Good communication skills, including written and oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy and the ability to use different programmes, such as Word and Excel.
  • Strong team working skills with many healthcare professionals.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to adapt to new ways of working, which is beneficial to the service.
