About the Role

St Barnabas House is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Palliative Care Specialist. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, holistic care to adults with life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, including end-of-life care.
  • Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a seamless and effective care plan.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, incorporating palliative care principles and philosophy.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to establish and maintain trusting relationships.

Requirements

  • RGN or RN Adult Branch qualification.
  • Diploma-level qualification or willingness to attain.
  • Teaching qualification or experience of mentoring other colleagues or student nurses.
  • Experience of using a palliative care approach to patient care.
  • Experience of supervising junior staff.
