Senior Director, Global Oncology Therapeutic Area Safety Physician
Gilead Sciences International, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director to lead our global oncology safety efforts. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the safety of our patients while driving the development and implementation of robust pharmacovigilance strategies for our innovative oncology products.
Responsibilities:- Provide expert medical and scientific guidance on the safety profile of our oncology portfolio, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive risk management.
- Develop and execute global product safety strategies, encompassing surveillance programs, aggregate review, and risk mitigation plans.
- Lead a team of dedicated safety professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Represent Gilead Sciences in interactions with regulatory agencies, providing expert insights on safety data and contributing to the successful submission of regulatory filings.
- Stay abreast of evolving industry standards and regulatory guidelines, ensuring our pharmacovigilance practices remain at the forefront of best practices.
- MD/DO/PharmD degree or equivalent with completion of an accredited medical or surgical residency program. Board certification is preferred.
- Extensive experience (6+ years) in pharmacovigilance, drug development, or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and safety principles.
- Proven expertise in hematology/oncology/immunology, with a strong track record of success in clinical research and product development.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, fostering collaboration and driving results within a dynamic team environment.
